Since you sent me a text and asked me to rate my experience, I have to say that it is abhorrent that you quoted me $1400.00 for a front brake job that you could then bring down to $988.00 (or just under $$600 if the calipers didn't need replacing) when just down the street where I went for a second opinion, I find that my rotors were fine, calipers just needed lubricant, and I only needed brake pads. That only cost $213.00 and included a lifetime warranty. I'm not sure what changed since my last visit in October, but I won't be back because this isn't good business.
Ms. Hicks, Thank you for your comments. The reason for the drastic change in price from the initial quote given was simply a clerical error and that was my fault. I should have explained it to you better. The tech reviewed the estimate with me and noticed the error. There were some numbers that needed to be adjusted (lowered) and I failed to adjust them on the initial estimate, hence the drastic change in the different quotes. I should have done a better job of explaining that to you. We did discuss the possibility of not needing the calipers and them just needed lubrication. I like to prepare my customers for worst case scenarios when going to a repair that could lead to additional repairs and costs. I am saddened by your experience as this is not what we strive for.
