Called The Car Guy here in Wilmington NC and spoke to Jason. I told him what problems I had with my vehicle. He made me appointment and I dropped it off. Jason called me and we went over my problem. I ask him to make my car Inspection ready . He called me back the next day and explained all the problems that I had. I approved his estimates and he kept me informed . I would recommend The Car Guy to anyone who wants great service !

Car Guys took my vintage Jeep which had been sitting in the garage for over 10 years and made it road ready. They did an excellent job keeping me informed during the project. Their work was very professionally performed. Gave me a well documented written estimate of the services and stuck by it. They will have my car service needs from now on and I totally recommend them. Good guys.

Excellent service, right on time again!

Story time: I had these guys replace my entire engine after my jeep had the engine overheat and melt. Ever since then the jeep kept breaking down. They did the engine replacement but nothing else was fine. After taking it to a shop that actually knows what they are doing with jeeps (Lunar Low), we found out that the car guys left melted wires that connected the engine to everything else electrical. They left bad parts in the jeep from the melted alternator to the water pump and more. Sadly, it wasn't until after the jeep kept breaking down and didn't run for many months, sitting in my driveway, we realized these issues stemmed from The Car Guys not taking the proper time to fix everything that was melted from the engine catastrophe. Luckily, Lunar Low stepped right in and had my jeep running within a week. Our warranty place paid the car guys $11,000 and we paid out of pocket another $3,000. We've spoken to many other shops and mechanics and they were in disbelief over the quote they gave us along with the poor work they did. We found out that they essentially overcharged us, scammed us, and we still are fixing the issues they looked over to this day, when this happened a while back. Luckily, our gut told us not to go back there, saving us and our jeep from further harm. If you need your jeep serviced, DO NOT take it here. They were more concerned with me coming back for an oil change than they were with my melted wires that they left in causing every electrical component in my jeep to fail. There are many other good shops in town, these guys are giving every other mechanic in Wilmington a bad rep! Stay away! Not to mention looking through these other reviews and seeing their unprofessional replies to people who felt the same way as I did! Ridiculous.

They diagnosed my problem as having two broken motor mounts on my 2008 Chevy Avalanche. They made the repair the following day at good price, vehicle running great. Great people to deal with didn't try to sell me anything I didn't ask for. Honest repair shop my go to place going forward.

I have used the Car Guys three separate times, on three different vehicles. Each time I felt that they knew and understood the problem with our cars and gave me logical answers. I recently brought my daughter's car to have diagnosed and they discovered problems that she had described without them knowing. I am very happy with their work and integrity.
